Carrots have became an important crop for Jefferson County. Carrots can be a real challenge to grow as they can be sensitive, like they can't have a soil that crusts as they won't come up through the crust. I just love the way they look and taste. This filed is just a couple miles out of the town of Madras. You can see Gray Butte in the background.
