Madras White Buffalo's VS Banks

Now this was an exciting game!  The Buffalo came out with a bang and went right to 10 to 0. Banks took a time out and came back ready to do war, they were aggressive and quite the little ball stealers, The score soon became tied and the fight was on.

The hot battle continued back and forth with both teams playing aggressive and steady aim.  Both had their whole hearts into winning this game.

I  was extremely proud when one heated battle over the ball ended with a foul and a player from each side glaring at the other. About the time you were sure someone was going to say or do something and get in trouble they both reached out and kind of like gave each other a high 5, sportsmanship won out big time.  What great kids.

The action was strong, the band was playing, the cheerleaders and the Buffalo herd were cheering, I was yelling instead of taking pictures.  The Buffaloes got an adrenaline burst and the stampede occurred with the Madras White Buffaloes winning the game with a score of 62 to 41. They were like a real herd in full stampede and could not be stopped no matter how much Banks tried.  You have to give credit to Banks as they never quit trying.

Good job Madras White Buffaloes, nothing stops you when you break out in a stampede. Proud of you and proud of your sportsmanship, it makes me proud when you play hard and remain good sports.

Madras JV tried hard again but just could not win with Banks.

Even though they lost I was so proud of how hard they tried and the sportsmanship shown. I think this is a nice way for kids to spend a Friday night. Lots of kids there to be in the herd ( a group of kids and cheerleaders) to cheer our team on.

Madras wrestling vs Summit Storm

Madras White Buffaloes vs Summit Storm in Wrestling. I have not been to a wrestling match since I was in high school and this was quite an experience. They turn the lights off and just a spotlight on the action and the crowd gets into it.

The excitement is contagious and you find yourself getting into the crowd mentality and screaming too. I was surprised thought that sometimes it reminded me of a dog fight as some people were yelling, hurt him. I don't know which side the guy was on but I thought it was sad. These are our kids out there. The wrestlers themselves were good sports and very professional about it and so were the coaches.

I am actually looking forward to the next one. One of the kids I went to see lost, another one and the third one won by forfeit and he was not happy about it, he wanted to wrestle.

I support any child that is in any type of club, sports, 4-H, FFA, drama club, business leaders, honor society, anything but out drinking and doing drugs.

Christmas Cheer to all

This house down by the library spreads the cheer on every holiday. They decorate the whole yard for every holiday for all to enjoy. Thanks to the owners, we appreciate the expense and trouble you do.

Central Oregon Animal Friends

Christmas Bazaar in Madras this Saturday, 9-4!! We hope to meet new and old friends and make a little money to help shelter animals! Please come out to the Jefferson County Fairgrounds and see us!

There will be several other groups and individuals there so take an hour or so and run out to the fairgrounds and see what is happening

Cliff's Repair Car detailing in Madras

In Madras on the Culver Highway is an auto repair shop I have used for years. I knew they sold used cars and I have seen them detailing cars but I thought it was only their used cars. They do car detailing for the public too and they did an amazing job on my 2004 Subaru inside and out.

Between mom and I we have 4 dogs, 3 of which shed like mad. Each of my daughters have dogs that ride in the car and many grandkids. The Subaru gets used as a pickup a lot too.

My car was FILTHY and I was even embarrassed to take it there but I just did not want to go out in this rainy weather and do it. I have taken it town to he vacuum at the car wash and it will not get all the dog hair out no matter how much I spend.  The inside of my car is amazingly clean.  The outside looks great too. I am one happy customer but not as happy as mom is, she already is planning her next trip in.

Thank you Cliff's Repair for the awesome job. It is so nice to do business with someone and get even better then you expected.

Birds eating chicken feed

I am not sure how many of you are having problems with all the small birds by the hundreds eating your chicken feed?  I have chicken wire around the 3 sides and top but they get through the chain link fence so I went to the store and got bird netting and put over the chain link fence.

I don't mind feeding them some but they are eating me out of house and home and becoming more and more every day as the word goes over the bird telegraph.

Just an idea for anyone having problems. I paid around $12 for a 21 foot long section.
